You have the basic skills needed to work with Microsoft Office Access databases, including creating and working with Access tables, relationships, queries, forms, and reports. But so far, you have been focusing only on essential database user skills. In this course, you will consider how to maintain data consistency, how to customize database components, and how to share Access data with other applications.

Target Student: Microsoft Office Access Level 2 is designed for students who would like to learn intermediate-level operations of the Microsoft Office Access program. Students will learn to use or create VBScript variables, arithmetic and logical operators, built-in and custom functions, and conditional statements and loops, as well as understand variant sub-types. In addition, students will learn how to turn their Web pages from static text and images into functional, interactive, and dynamic communications and e-commerce tools.

Course Objective: You will learn the basic skills necessary to operate a personal computer.

Target Student: This course was designed for the student who is completely new to personal computers and needs to learn the basics about Windows XP. If you are using the Windows XP operating system and are new to computers, you should take this course before attempting any other FCDW courses.

Prerequisites: A working knowledge of advanced-level HTML. Programming experience is helpful, but not required.

A good photograph tells a story. Learn how you can become a visual storyteller using the techniques taught in this course. Equipment choice, captioning, composition and photo essay design for print and digital publication will be covered. Discussion topics will include editorial photography trends and photojournalism ethics. This course will walk you through just what those symbols and settings on your camera really mean and how to use them to get those images you want. If you come from a film background or just want to figure out your new camera, this three-hour class will help you get up to speed.
